The Difference Between Hydration and Repair (And Why Your Feet Need Both)
Stacey Power
Not all dryness is created equal. Here’s how to tell what your feet are actually asking for.
Hydration and repair are often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same thing.
Hydration
Hydration adds moisture to the skin, helping it feel soft and comfortable.
Repair
Repair focuses on strengthening the skin barrier so it can hold onto that moisture.
Dry feet usually need both. Hydration alone may feel good short-term, but without barrier support, dryness comes back quickly.

That’s why daily, consistent care matters more than occasional heavy treatments.
